MECO Architects and Tegnestuen Mejeriet A / S are involved in a collaboration with BDN - Bund Deutscher Nordschleswiger to modernize the German minority's museum in Sønderborg.

The reason is the 100th anniversary of the minority's establishment at the reunification in 1920.

The Danish-German relationship in the border country has become a model for the whole of Europe, which is one of the main themes that is being worked on in the project.

The extension includes a foyer, exhibition facilities and a small multi-use cinema. In addition, a large archive in the basement, as well as a roof terrace with a view over Sønderborg.
